A pre-employment assessment is an objective approach in determining whether essential job functions can be performed safely by an employee. A job placement assessment is specific to established job descriptions and governed by ADA and OSHA standards. Work Conditioning Program
Work Conditioning is a work related, intensive, goal-oriented treatment program specifically designed to restore an individual’s systemic, neuromusculoskeletal and cardiopulmonary functions. The objective of Work Conditioning is to restore the injured employee’s physical capacity and function for return to work.
Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)
The FCE is a series of tests used to evaluate work-related physical abilities. FCEs are performed by a physical therapist certified to conduct these examinations.
A functional capacity evaluation is designed to be safe and to provide impartial information about an injury or illness. The tests that are part of an FCE will evaluate a worker’s:
- Range of motion
- Physical strength
- Lifting ability
- Flexibility
- Stamina and ability to carry objects
- Other abilities required for their job
Injury Prevention Program
Injury prevention strategies and ergonomics can be provided for employers looking to invest in the safety of their employees. This can include job specific stretching and strengthening, body mechanics analysis, and comprehensive training.
